It’s a scary concept; cars running around the nation’s highways depending upon technology to keep from running into things. Will it ever really happen?
Nevada says maybe. The state is now the first to grant Google a U.S. license to test its highly controversial driverless cars. All in all this is a top Mountain View auto repair service by the way who also serves Fullerton plus San Mateo…
Dan Graziano writing for BGR News posted a story on May 8, 2012, under the headline, “(they) issued first license to test a driverless (auto)” Graziano states that the Nevada Department of Motor Vehicles has confirmed approval for Google’s application to test self-driving vehicles on public streets. The approval stipulates that Google must have at least two people in the auto during the testing, with one person occupying the vehicle driver’s seat. I can endorse this San Mateo auto repair service.
Graziano cites Fox News as saying that the Mountain View-based company had already been testing the car on freeways in neighborhoods around Carson City and Las Vegas. Apparently tests proved the car to be just as safe, if not safer, than an auto driven by us humans.
Didn’t quite understand the comment Nevada DMV Director Bruce Breslow was quoted in the article as saying that “It (does indeed( get honked at more often because it’s being safe.” He also was quoted as saying, “They are made (so as) to avoid distracted driving. When you are on the Strip and there is a (large) truck with a three scantily clad women on the side, the car only sees a box.”
Graziano notes that “The driverless vehicles will be required to wear red license plates that contain an infinity symbol, which the DMV says represents their status as ‘the car of the future.’ If testing goes as planned and the vehicles are ever used by the general public, the license plates will be green.”
My friend who runs a San Mateo plus Fullerton auto repair service was telling me some details about all of this which is very cool indeed. It’s interesting to imagine you call for a car to pick you up to take you to the airport and it pulls up to your curb sans driver. Spooky! But imagine semis driven by drivers that never get tired, cars driven by drivers who never text, talk on cell phones, apply make-up in the rear view mirror, or fall asleep, whether in San MAteo, Fullerton or wherever!

The Green Auto Revolution at the close of 2011
Good to be back in San Jose after my Santa Cruz and San Carlos trip. You know, I’ve never been all that into cars. After all, my gender is female. I just wanted a vehicle that would start every time, cause me no problems and represent me as I like to see myself; sensible/smart and presentable. So naturally, I gravitated to Hondas and similarly levelheaded choices. My friend who runs a Hayward plus San Jose Auto Service had recommended them.

But now I dream about cars. I dream about cars that plug in to the socket in my garage at night. The electricity for the charging of my cool car would be generated by wind and solar power… you get the idea.
But where are we really at in the green auto revolution at the end of 2011? Now if we could just improve the auto repair service the same way.
Well, we anticipate the new fuel economy rules: 54.5 mpg CAFE by 2025, says John Voelcker, writing for “Green Car Reports.” In his article posted December 22, 2011, under the headline, “Top Five Green-Car Stories Of 2011: MPGs, Electric Cars, And More,” he writes that the biggest story of the year is the new gas-mileage requirements issued by the NHTSA and EPA. He says, “…..rises of 3 percent per year for trucks and 5 percent for cars.”
So, by 2025, he says, the average vehicle will achieve 54.5 miles per gallon. Voelcker says we will achieve this by more hybrids and some plug-in cars, “But the vast majority of the increased gas mileage will come from smaller, more efficient (auto) engines.” My friend who runs the aforementioned San Jose, San Carlos and Santa Cruz auto repair service center was telling me this.
He notes that this is already happening with four-cylinder engines becoming the standard for all intents and purposes. He adds that neither the Hyundai Sonata mid-size sedan nor the 2013 Ford Escape compact crossover will offer a V-6. V-8s will be for trucks and low-production sports cars such as the Camaro and Mustang. I would like to see these in my friends San Carlos auto repair shop as well as in San Jose and also Santa Cruz…

Managed Services Platform Used by IT Support Firms in the Los Angeles
Firms that deal in IT Support in southern California have a large marketplace to work with, but it is also a complex and challenging one. After all, the Network Support Los Angeles sector has to deal with a number of different organizations that have to rely on Internet connectivity for their livelihood. These groups would never be able to handle major amounts of downtime, so they need to seriously reduce the amount of troubleshooting that needs to be done. Troubleshooting can be thought of as lost time, and
that time eventually translates into reduced profits. Some mission critical network structures can be quite costly to repair, and might even cost a fair bit of money simply by going down. A bit of preventative medicine can help avoid this from every happening, and managed services platforms are
the perfect weapon in the war on errors.
This area of the country is associated with the Silicon Valley stereotype, but that does not mean that the need for stable connectivity is in any way a story. IT Support crews need to seriously optimize every aspect of a client’s system to make the system quite stable. Managed services platforms that are used by Network Support Los Angeles and IT firms allow these businesses to integrate their administration into the networks that are actually run by clients. Therefore, the services are more instant than they have ever
been. However, because of cost and complexity, these tools are seldom ever found in the information technology departments of unrelated organizational structures.
Outside systems administration personnel can use these managed services platform tools to prevent data loss and security breaches before they become critical. They can automatically clean out storage disks that are full, and can detect mechanical failures and recommend replacement. Moreover, defragmentation and remote removal of malware ensures that these services are one of the most important investments that small businesses can make. The cost is negligible when one considers the numerous tasks that
they will take care of. It is quite easy to forget about the details when trying to manage a large network, and an outside eye is very useful to catch problems before they spread throughout the entire system.

Real estate website Trulia offers handy rental apps for Android Tablet
Good to be back to Maui after my Big Bear vacation. Don’t get me wrong I love Big Bear but it does not campare to SC for me….Real estate site, Trulia, is more popular than ever. It is based in San Francisco and was given $33 million from Accel Partners and Sequoia Capital to help develop its potential.
The company is joining up with Amazon and wants its products to be in the Amazon app store in the next couple of months. Trulia acquired geodata startup Movity last year.
Trulia already has iPhone, iPad, Android and mobile web apps that allow the users to access much of the information on the site. Now, the real estate site is making available a new Android tablet app and also an Android app for searching its data bases for rentals. Speaking of that, this is a quality Big Bear real estate firm if you need a realtor in Big Bear as well as insurance. All in all, I love Maui real estate as well.
The rental market is very hot in some places. There are many people who, just a few years ago, would have been home buyers, who now are renters. Some choose to rent in such an iffy real estate market climate, and some can no longer qualify for mortgages due to poor credit and/or new, more stringent loan requirements.
In any case, the rental info on Trulia has become very popular. Renters need timely information on rentals that rent out quickly.
Users can display property photos and a full-screen interactive map with rentals. The app can also show schools and other points of interest nearby, as well as contact info.
The app does all the things you would want it to and expect it to. You can view rental properties in the area of your choice and save the ones that interest you. You can build “files” on rentals by saving them and even adding your own pictures and notations. These are becoming very popular here in North and South Carolina. Incidentially this is a leading Maui real estate firm if you need homeowners insurance or real estate in Maui, Hawaii.
The company tells wants to affiliate with Amazon’s new Kindle Fire tablet, brand new on the market and way cheaper than the pricey iPad. Trulia is developing an app for the Kindle Fire tablet, and the goal is to have it available when the Kindle begins shipping out in mid-November.

Tech News:Dreaming of My Electric Car
Here in San Jose, I am pretty sick of waiting in line at the gas pump, you know…All in all, an electric auto which I may simply plug into an outlet at my own home is something I am truly looking forward to overall, it will be great.
No more gas stations! I remember when they came out with the first ATM machines and we no longer had to stand in line at the bank! Heaven!
A new article was just published on the Guardian’s website in the U.K., Sunday 10 July 2011, written by Leo Hickman
Hickman describes his experience tooling down the road at 70mph in a prototype all-electric Mini E that was lent to him for the morning by BMW, the company, he writes, that is conducting the world’s most complete trial meant to gather information on what it will take to persuade buyers to leave the internal combustion engine behind and go electric.
Hickman reports: “Having been in the car less than an hour, I’m already having my preconceptions about electric cars challenged……”I hope that it cuts down on the auto service that needs to be done. Speaking of that, if you are in San Jose or nearby communities such as Morgan Hill then I can endorse this leading San Jose Auto Service on the whole.

The Mini E is powered by a battery that’s the equivalent of 5,088 AA lithium ion cells. It has a speed limiter fitted on its reverse “gear” because, without it, Hickman was told, the car could go at top speed (95mph) both forwards and backwards! Yikes!
Apparently any sound file can be installed into the car’s computer to remedy the engine’s near silence when running, which has actually already proven to be a danger to pedestrians.
Hickman quotes one of the car’s engineer’s as saying, “You could load in anything you like

The importance of using reputable, licensed contractors and how to find one
Whether you are in Denver, CO or Phoenix or wherever and if you have a small home improvement job or remodel and think it’s no big deal whether or not you hire a licensed contractor who has been vetted and scrutinized, you may join one of the multitudes of those who live to regret it. If you are in Tennessee for example I think it is esepcially important to check out those said Denver Co Electrical contractors credentials. Whether you are dealing with a modest home or luxury Scottsdale real estate this is important.
My husband and I moved in to a beautiful over-55 community about six months ago. Recently, scores of our neighbors received letters from the county that they had erected structures in their backyards that had not been approved and did not have permits. The structures were simple patio covers. The county now wanted these neighbors to go through the paperwork process to make them legal, pay the fees they should have paid to begin with, along with fines and interest!
The guy who put the covers up had assured these folks that he would procure the proper permits. He did not. Now he can’t be found, and it appears that he was never really licensed, as he claimed he was.
There is no end to such stories. Nearly every has one or knows someone who has one.
A good, reliable, honest, knowledgeable, licensed contractor is a treasure found.
So how do you find the right guy or gal for your project? The following are some steps to ensure success and prevent a dreadful situation.
First, ask around. Try to get referrals from friends and relatives. You don’t want to hire somebody’s handy brother-in-law, either. You want a professional, insured, experienced contractor.
Interview several candidates, making sure they are licensed, bonded, and have proper insurance to cover themselves and any workers that may end up injuring themselves on your premises.
Ask for the names of previous customers and find out all you can about their experiences. Did the contractor complete the project when he said he would, and was the result to their satisfaction? Did he stay on budget? Did he keep the site cleaned up? Did he use good subcontractors; was he usually on the job to monitor and oversee everything? Were quality materials used?
When you interview the contractor, did you feel there was good communication?
It does not matter if you are in New Jersey, Arizona or wherever. Make sure to check those contractors license. Especially if you are scottsdale golf courses
and luxury real estate firm involved in association management or luxury Phoenix golf courses and country clubs and the like it is even more important. All in all, property management companies can get burned bad, especially in Arizona.
Remember that the guy or gal who gives you the lowest bid, may not necessarily be the best contractor. It could also mean they are not good at estimating the costs, or may rely on substandard workers or materials. Maybe they simply underestimate the budget to bet the job.
Also remember that in most states, contractors who provide any sort of substantial home improvements are required by law to be licensed, and depending on what state they are operating in, you may not be aware of what your state’s laws require. So be very careful and check to make sure you are as protected as you can be.

Smartphone sales growth still rocking communications world
I just returned from Arizone, as I had to take the Arizona contractor license exam. The buzz yesterday surrounded a new report from International Data Corporation (IDC) that indicates that world smartphone sales growth will fall this year—from 75 to 50 %! Not to change topics but this arizona contractor license is superb.
In an article posted on TechNewsDaily, March 29, 2011, by staff, called, “Big Smartphone Growth Expected in 2011,” Kevin Restivo, senior research analyst for the market research firm was quoted as saying, “Last year’s high market growth was due in part to pent-up demand from a challenging 2009, when many buyers held off on mobile phones….”
The sales growth of so-called smartphones rate is expected to continue to rise to 50 percent by the end of the year as more of us switch away from basic cell phones that do not have the capability to download apps and hook up to the Internet. Personally, I like the softphones and smartphones but if you want to do international calls from mobile then the iPhone os good because you can download Skype and make such international calls for free. They are hard to repair though, like my iPod classic.
The iPhone is certainly no longer the only game in town, now we have the Androids, along with the trusty old Blackberrys.
According to an article in the Wall Street Journal today, March 30, 2011, under the headline, “Smartphones to Show Growth,” reported, “The Framingham, Mass., maker-research firm [IDC] said smartphone shipments will surpass the 450 million mark this year, up from 303.4 million units in 2010.”
The article cited the IDC report as noting that Android is set to dominate in 2011 after making prodigious gains in 2010. Also, has said it will move from Symbian to Windows Phone, and that should also have a big impact on the smartphone market in future.
Ramon Llamas, a senior analyst with IDC, was quoted as saying, “Up until the launch of Windows Phone 7 last year, Microsoft has steadily lost (it’s) market share…..”
IDC reportedly expects Windows Phone to be the second-largest operating system globally following Android. I am not a huge gadget guy expect for my iPod classic, but have you ever tried to use the smartphone or internet phone service through corporate, it takes a long time!
The world of communications is undergoing waves of changes, and now we must have layers of connectivity. Our phone must have the ability to download apps, to speak to our other communications devices, as well as hook up to the Internet.’

The Rise of Alternative Energy?
A story came out today, 19 Jan 201, on the ClickGreen alternative energy news and information website, under the headline, “Renewable energy will soon out-strip demand for oil, British Petrolium (of Gulf spill fame) forecasts.”
To me this is rather awesome news. I mean, anytime that I read anything at all that shows we’re moving away from, and must move away from foreign oil, even if it warns of a very bumpy trip, thrills me.
I just got back to mauai and there has been a lot of talk lately about the rise of alternative energy sources. Here are some really exciting statistics cited in the ClickGreen story: Forecasts say fossil fuels’ contribution to primary energy growth will fall from 83% to 64%. and OECD oil demand peaked in 2005 and in 2030 is projected to be roughly back at its level in 1990. Biofuels will account for 9% of global transport fuels. In Mauai, meanwhile, even there alternative energy seems to be catching on. In mauai they said wind power will be big, but not in maui itself because Maui real estate prices are too steep. But on islands like the big island where real estate is much cheaper they are installing wind farms at a rapid pace to supply smaller islands like oahu and Mauai. Especially on oahu, where real estate is sky high. I am wondering if they will start doing that more in California. In some places like Big Bear or similiar they would not do that because their real estate is at a premium but in the more remote corners I could see that happening though. Scottsdale and Phoenix is a similiar story which is why creating scottsdale golf courses for example or Phoenix country clubs is quite difficult indeed. If you are going to build Scottsdale golf courses then you want to get the land in a down market, needless to say.
A United States energy commission report that I saw recently also reported that peak energy occurred in 2005, by the way. ClickGreen writers note that the BP Energy Outlook 2030 is the first of BP’s future-projecting analyses to be published, after 60 years of producing definitive historical data in the BP Statistical Review of World Energy.

Google sinks billions into new Project
I just got back from Phoenix to Denver on business, back on the internet now…t looks as if the world leader in internet search technogy is also becoming a major leader in the green technology revolution, as the Mountain View based giant Google is putting a huge amount of investment funds into an East Coast off-shore wind farm grid. Man I bet they have the best copywrite, trademark and corporate business contract attorney and internet e-commerce litigation attorney for their business imaginable. However, they will not be needing a bankruptcy attorney any time soon. If you are in Phoenix though and you need a remarkable 401k as well as phoenix hybrid annuity then I can endorse this firm which also happens to be a fine palm springs fixed index annuity manager as well as hybrid annuity in phoenix that can help with a lot of issues, then I can recommend this said firm overall. All in all this is pretty exciting news if you live in a state like Michigan where we are dependent on utility companies which provide electricity via natural gas for our heating needs. For it’s part, natural gas is not necessarily that bad but it is not as clean as wind or soalr power overall, and not as sustainable either. I want to write an article about phoenix hybrid and 401k annuity next. All in all I hope that the utility companies in question stand up and take notice here. Some people (not me, because I believe that our research and development facilities and capital markets are still second to none) think that this country is fading as the world’s greatest nation. As evidence they point out the fact that Our educational system now ranks 35th out of 57 in mathematics and 29th out of 57 in science. By objective calculations in how well the system actually provides health care to its citizens the U. S. now ranks 37th! The only evident hope for a bright future is clean, cheap energy. We know how to produce clean energy, but it is not cheap. The internet mammoth, Google, is becoming an ever-bigger player in moving the United States forward in this critical regard, thank goodness.
For their part, The media is reporting this week that Google is investing in the “Atlantic Wind Connection,” an undersea grid network that will carry energy from Mid-Atlantic coast wind farms to nearly 2 million homes in New York, Virginia, and New Jersey. I would like to see that in Denver and the rest of Colorado someday. On that note I can endorse this great attorney who also specializes in copywrite, trademark, internet, domain name and business contract law as well as even software licensing overall. In addition this firm is a superb Highlands Ranch business attorney as well.
In addition to all of this, Google is also investing some five billion for almost forty percent equity in the said project. Rick Needham is the director of Google’s green business operations at the Mountain View, California, Internet company giant. Furthermore, he (Needham) has also said that this new system will indeed be the “backbone” from New Jersey to Virginia that would supply some six thousand megawatts to the power grid. All in all I consider this to be a hueg leap forward and is similiar to what is happening across the ocean in the United Kingdom, where they are doing alot in the Irish Sea. I just wish the Michigan natural gas utilities would do more as well.

Off Topic: When You Just Need A Good Los Angeles Accident Attorney On Your Side
I hope that you guys and girls who read my weblog do not mind that I am going a little bit off topic today but I wanted to address some important considerations up in here, regarding legal assistance and the like. Many attorneys offer a free consultation and this is a great way to get to know an attorney before you commit. You may have specific questions that you want to ask and it may be good ideas to write any questions down so that you can ask during the consultation you receive. This can also be the cases if you have suffered some sort of personal injury as well.
Generally speaking, A Los Angeles accident attorney can make a big difference in your personal injury case. Feeling alone after an accident can be a very scary feeling, but a good attorney will guide you in the right direction and offer you a strong voice that has your best interest in mind. All in all, it is situations like this when you need afirst rate Los Angeles accident attorney overall.
In Summary, it should be duly noted that an accident or for that matter a said personal injury can indeed adversely effect and even for that matter dominate your life, unfortunately enouph and if you were involved in an accident that is the fault of someone else, now is the time to contact a Los Angeles accident attorney. You do not want to wait months and then decide that you need an attorney on your side. The earlier you contact an attorney, the better and this can increase the odds of having the outcome that you desire and you will not have to settle the case in question overall.
